Meet Miss Green!Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to fifth grade at Palos East Elementary School! My name is Miss Green and this will be my second year teaching in Palos 118. I have grown up in the Palos area and attended Palos West, Palos South, and Stagg High School as a student. I am thrilled to return to the district to work with the amazing team of teachers and students that make 118 such a positive environment. In 2014 I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Spanish. I completed my student teaching experience in a fourth grade classroom in Oak Forest. From there, I transitioned into a full-time fifth grade position at the same school. Outside of the classroom, I coach a girls travel basketball team in the Palos area. This summer, I traveled around Costa Rica with my family. We had a blast white water rafting and ziplining in the forest! In my spare time, I also enjoy running, walking my dog, Charley, spending time with family and friends, and reading. As we begin this school year, I am looking forward to an exciting time full of fun and learning. My goal is to offer an engaging, nurturing, and safe environment for all students to be successful learners each day. With your support, I have no doubt that we can achieve this! As partners in your student's education, I encourage open communication always. I am so excited to meet you. Enjoy your student's many accomplishments this year! Thank you, Miss Green |
